Part 1: Ears-muffs.
 

This standard specifies the requirements for construction, design, performance and marking of ear-muffs as well as information to supply to the end user.

It specifies in particular the noise reduction of ear-muffs, measured in accordance with EN 24869-1.

This standard does not cover ear-muffs to be mounted on an industrial safety helmet.
