Personal protective equipment for work positioning and prevention of falls from a height:
Belts and lanyards for work positioning or restraint.
 

This document applies to belts and lanyards intended to be worn or secured in the workplace.

It specifies the requirements, tests, markings and information that the manufacturer must provide.

It does not apply to fixed length lanyards not integrated into the belt.

Fixed length lanyards not integrated in the belt are covered by EN 354.

EN 358 - BELTS AND LANYARDS FOR WORK POSITIONING AND RESTRAINT
	The work positioning belt can be used alone (anchorage) or integrated into an anti-fall harness (work positioning). The work positioning lanyard allows the belt to be attached to the anchorage point (anchorage), or to the surrounding structure, to allow the hand to be released (work positioning). Reminder: a work positioning system must always be combined with a fall arrest system.
